Thanks to its modular and flexible technology, subject to a large production runs and innovative materials, Coriolis Composites supplies automated solutions for all sectors of industry, such as wind energy, marine energy, train, space or naval sector.
NAVAL PARTS
Twenty years ago, Coriolis Composites developed its first machine providing automatization to boat composite hull manufacturing. As an expert of AFP Cells, the company now offers a complete set of solutions to the naval sector.
Advantages
MASTERING COMPLEXITY
/ Best weight/strength ratio to obtain light and stiff composite structures
/ Following complex design structure, thanks to the capability of AFP Cells, to put fiber in the right direction
/ Use of low cost Out Of Autoclave – OOA materials
/ Reliable and repeatable automated process which ensure high quality part
Solutions
Standard robot configuration is well adapted to produce structural parts due to the modularity of the cell configuration and the capability to process industrial grade material at high speed, such as carbon tow preg or PA6 or PP polymer, glass fiber.
WIND ENERGY
Coriolis Composites brings its expertise to the use of large standard robotic structures by providing flexible design of the bobbin storage system to the placement head. Coriolis Composites offers automated solutions for making blades of large dimensions, optimizes the robot structure in relation to the components to be made, and enables the use of low-cost material, while ensuring high productivity.
Advantages
ROBUSTNESS AND PRODUCTIVITY
/ Higher productivity thanks to the combined layup of numerous fibers
/ Productivity of 250 kg/h or more, on uni-directional spar type parts
/ Zero wastage rate
/ High mechanical performances due to orientations and optimized thicknesses in relation to the main stresses
/ Completely automated production and industrial robustness due to the use of robotic components already proven in other industrial sectors
Solutions
Robots adapted for making sub-sets of the blade: a robot on a linear axis for making the root of the blade and the spar, robot on a Cartesian gantry for laying up aerodynamic shells. Making a preform for infusion with a low cost material, robot type structure or low cost gantry machine.
